Growing with Giggles is a licensed home daycare located in Belvidere, Illinois. My home is in a friendly quiet
neighborhood only minutes from the 1-90 Belvidere/Genoa road exit and in very close proximity to several District
100 schools which include Lincoln, Meehan, BSMS, BHS. Many of the other area schools are within a short easy
drive as well.

I offer quality care for children 6 weeks through age 10 (5th grade). As a licensed provider I am able to care for
up to 8 children total with a maximum 1:6 ratio during the day, which includes our preschool time, with an
additional 2 school age children joining us in the late afternoon.

My home includes a nicely sized fun and friendly playroom area and fenced backyard with play equipment. I
proudly provide a safe, fun, enriching environment with nutritious meals and individual attention to each child. We
follow a fun and educational curriculum introducing the children to different themes and covering basic skills such
as alphabet, numbers, colors and shapes. Our daily schedule includes a variety of activities including center
time, arts & crafts, music, free play and outdoor play. Weather permitting the children are allowed to play
outdoors daily to encourage large motor skills and we frequently visit local parks. We also often enjoy outings to
fun location throughout the area such as the library, Kindermusik, Sapora Playworld, Discovery Center and other
fun activities.

My Provider Qualifications, Training & Programs

As the loving mother of four I have an extensive knowledge and understanding caring for children of all ages. I
also in past years have been employed by reputable area child care centers and gained a lot of wisdom and
insight through those work experiences.

Licensed by the Illinois Department of Child & Family Services (License #449984), I have agreed to follow specific
guidelines while caring for children. Licensing standards required a thorough inspection of my home, current
certification in First Aid and CPR/Rescue breathing, a health examination for myself and my family, an extensive
background check and fingerprinting and continuous monitoring by the department. It is also required that I
acquire fifteen hours of training per year in the childcare field. I am also proud to be a member of the SEIU Local
880 a home child care union here in Illinois.

I participate in the Association for Child Development Child & Adult Food Program sponsored by the USDA. This
program promotes healthy meals for daycare children and insures that the are being served nutritious meals and
snacks.

Additionally, I am also a member of the Child Care Village, a resource for child care providers, like myself, who are
interested in raising the standards of childcare through education, awareness and networking.

At Growing with Giggles daycare we proudly use the Funshine Express Curriculum. This is an educational
program that offers a professionally developed curriculum for preschool children - Ages 2 to 5. This program
provides hands on learning for children, prepares children for success, and provides fun and creative activities.

I have a strong belief in and a commitment to continuing education, as evidenced by attending a variety of classes
at Rock Valley College pertaining to early childhood education. I will continue to attend additional training and
workshops each year as required by licensing standards

My Philosophy

Good daycare is much more than “babysitting” and it is something I take very seriously. It is a privilege to me to
be entrusted with the care of your child. Your child deserves a comfortable and safe place to spend their time
away from home. It is very important to surround children with learning opportunities at all times through play and
enriching activities. Watching them grow and develop new skills is very rewarding and exciting.

About Me & My Family

My name is Tiffany (31), I'm a 1996 graduate from Belvidere High School and have lived in the area all my life. I
have been married to my husband Jason for eight years (1999). He is very supportive of my work and excited
about the opportunities it provides for our family. We have four wonderful children, all girls, who are 15, 9, 4 and
our youngest is 2.

As well as being a mother I am also a surrogate or another fitting description, a "prenatal nanny". In late 2007 I
began pursuing a dream of mine to become a gestational carrier and help another couple build a family of their
own. I'm currently working with a wonderful couple from the Chicago area. Our journey is moving along and
hopefully we will achieve a successful pregnancy and they will be blessed with a little bundle (or two).

I enjoy being involved in my children’s schools by volunteering when possible. I also love to help with various
activities, such as scouting troops and sports that my girls are involved in throughout the year. They really keep
me busy!!

I am also the co-organizer of the Rockford Moms Group which is a network of nearly 100 moms that enjoy
exchanging advice, support, and laughs. We have a great time with our child(ren) enjoying playdates and outings
throughout the Rockford area. I've been fortunate to make some wonderful friends and it is a great opportunity for
myself, my children, and those in my care to experience so many fun things to do outside of the daycare home
each and every month.

Over the years I have worked in the childcare field as well as in other areas. Most recently I was working in a
dental office but quickly realized after the birth of our third child in 2004 that I wanted more than anything to be
home with my children. Considering my previous experience in childcare it only made sense that I should operate
my own home daycare.

W were blessed with the opportunity to buy a new home, this gave me the opportunity and space to open my
doors to provide care for others children. Growing with Giggles Daycare has been operating for over two years
and recently moved to a new location across town, which is an even better arrangement for our family and the
daycare.

Opening Growing with Giggles Daycare in the Spring of 2006 was a dream come true for me. Each day I am
thankful for the opportunity I have been given. I love my daily interactions with the children and it is so rewarding
to watch them grow and learn each day.
